POSITION: Senior Project Manager – MEP/FP PCA Engineer, Consulting & Due Diligence – West Coast (California preferred)

 

Blackstone Consulting LLC, an established nationwide commercial real estate due diligence consulting firm, is presently looking for an individual with a strong Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Fire Protection (MEP/FP) engineering background to perform MEP/FP assessments and property condition assessments (PCAs) for both Equity-Acquisition and Lender/Debt scopes of work in general conformance with ASTM Standard 2018-15.

LOCATION:

West Coast, (California preferred) – Work from home in remote office setting

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position involves performing transaction-based property condition assessments (PCA), Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Fire Protection (MEP/FP) evaluations, and related engineering real estate due diligence services on a wide range of property types including office, industrial, retail, hospitality, and multi-family housing.

This position requires management of multiple concurrent projects with minimum oversight; a willingness to travel at least 50% of the time (primarily west coast); exceptional writing and verbal communication skills; advanced computer literacy on Windows-based programs specifically MS Word, SharePoint, and Excel; estimating, and ability to meet deadlines without exception. Our clients expect in-depth technical expertise with pro-active communication and follow-up.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • Minimum 4-year engineering, architectural or construction related degree
  • Professional certification/registration such as Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, AIA-Certification, or other related state licensing is preferred, but not required
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience performing transaction-based property condition assessments
  • Experience in engineering design, construction oversight, building forensics, and project management is also preferred
  • ADA/Fair Housing Act experience is desirable
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple project assignments according to deadlines and within budget

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities
  • Required knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (Microsoft Office,  Adobe)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft O365 and SharePoint preferred
